The Village of Bingham Farms is a tiny community comprising 1.255 square miles of southeast lower Michigan. It is located between 12 1/2 mile and Fourteen Mile Roads and Telegraph and Lahser Roads. Incorporated in 1955, the village of Bingham Farms was substantially developed with office projects during the 1980s. The community has held onto its quiet rural charm, augmented by scenic wooded lots and exceptional homes. Young Bingham Farms residents attend the Birmingham public schools. construction in our area.  Make sure your rubbish is out by
7:00 a.m. on Thursdays or after 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night until further notice.  The contractor will not be making a second round through the Village.  Thanks for your cooperation.

GROVES HIGH SCHOOL GIGANTIC GARAGE SALE

Two new classes to be offered at BASCC in the fall include:

AFRAID OF FALLING - A class that focuses on self-confidence and balance control in order to prevent falls.  This class meets Wednesdays, September 8 - October 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

PORTABLE RESISTANCE BAND WORKOUT - A class that utilizes resistance bands to strengthen and tone muscles.  This class meets Tuesdays, September 14 - November 2.

CONSERVE ENERGY WITH WEATHERIZATION

TELEGRAPH ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

In order to improve safety and promote economic vitality on the heavily traveled corridor of Telegraph Road (US-24), three major repaving projects are planned. Sixteen miles of pavement from 8 Mile Road to Orchard Lake Road in Southfield, Bingham Farms, Franklin and Bloomfield Township will be repaired beginning in late March and ending in December.  Alternate routes are strongly advised. EVENINGS IN THE GARDEN 2010

FREE PERSONAL DOCUMENT SHREDDING

Southfield Township is providing free personal document shredding on Saturday, September 25, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  The event will take place at the Southfield Township parking lot located at 18550 W. 13 Mile Road.  This is the only date that this sevice will be offered this year.

Documents must be removed from plastic or metal file folders and binders.  Six storage boxes of documents per person will be accepted.

DOG LICENSES

Southfield Township will not be sending out notices for dog licenses this year.  Dog licenses are $5.00 prior to March 31st and $10.00 thereafter.

Dog licenses are obtained at Southfield Township, 18550 W. Thirteen Mile Rd., just west of Southfield Road.
