The 7-member Village Council is the elected body that sets and determines policy by approving or amending ordinances, approving the annual budget, and approving contracts for village services.

Village Council meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 7 p.m. Exceptions for holidays occur occasionally, in which case the meeting is held on the third Monday. All meetings are held in the Council Chambers and are recorded and aired on Bloomfield Community Television channels.
