Baldwin Public Library to Hold Used Book Sale
Friends of the Baldwin Public Library to Hold Used Book and Media Sale
Did you know that the Village of Bingham Farms contracts with the Baldwin Public Library for library services? All Bingham residents and employees of Bingham-based businesses are eligible for Baldwin library cards.
The Friends of the Baldwin Public Library will hold a special sale of used books and media on Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. -4 p.m., Sunday, May 15 from 12-4 p.m. and Monday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to noon on the lower level of the Baldwin Public Library. All proceeds benefit the Library’s programs and services.
“The Friends of the BPL May book sale has been a traditional highlight of springtime in Birmingham; it’s another sign that we are ‘getting our groove’ back,” said Friends of the BPL President Ryndee Carney. “With the return of the Celebrate Birmingham Hometown Parade, it will be a fun weekend downtown. We’re looking forward to seeing lots of customers shop our large selection of new inventory that has come in since our February pop-up sale."
Donations continue to be dropped off at BPL on a regular basis, and the selection of materials for sale include a large selection of lightly used hardcover and paperback books for children and adults, along with DVDs, and music CDs.
Established in 1950, Friends of the Baldwin Public Library is a non-profit association that supports and enhances the Library’s goals. The group of volunteers raises thousands of dollars each year to supplement tax-payer funding the Library receives.
