Plastic Jugs & Bottles
Clean. Discard caps.
Leave labels on. Flatten if possible.
Only narrow neck bottles marked 1(PETE) or 2(HDPE) on bottom.
Place inside recycling bin.
NO #1 or #2 wide mouth containers such as margarine or yogurt
containers.
NO microwave dishes.
NO plastic bags.
Glass Bottles and Jars
Clean. Discard lids.
No green glass (wine bottles)
Leave labels on.
Place inside recycling bin.
NO broken glass, window glass, light bulbs or ceramic mugs.
Metal Food/Beverage Cans,
Pie Tins
Clean. Labels are OK.
Clean aluminum trays and pie tins.
Place loose metal lids inside cans or leave lids attached.
Metal Clothes hangers, clean pots and pans, toasters, faucets
silverware, pipe, and other small metal objects that can
fit into the recycling bin.
Empty Metal Paint and
Empty Metal Aerosol Cans
Leave lids off paint can
Cans must be empty
Do not try to flatten or remove the ends
Recycle metal lids. Discard plastic lids
LATEX PAINT CANS ONLY
Oil based paint is a hazardous waste; must be disposed of
at the annual HHW Day.

Paper Products
Cardboard
Non wax coated with wavy corrugation in the
middle.
Discard packing material, loose food or badly stained cardboard.
Large boxes or quantity; fold or cutup into 2 by 3
piece and tie securely in bundles of less than 60 lbs.
Paperboard/Boxboard
Clean cereal, show, detergent, issue, gift,
snack, pop/beer packages.
Remove all food, cellophane liners.
Flatten & stuff in biggest box or bundle with cardboard.
No milk or drink boxes. No books.
Magazine & Catalogues
Glossy Magazines or catalogues are acceptable.
Newspapers, Glossy Advertisements
Newspaper and all inserts.
Glossy Advertisement
Newsprint ads.
Telephone Books
Accepted year round.
Keep dry inside recycling bin.
Batteries
Store in a clean plastic bag.
Place inside a bin.
Rechargeable, 9 volt, AA, AAA, C, D are acceptable.
